Objectives:
- To resume discussion of competitive transmission and cost containment mechanisms New England began during development of the Longer-Term Transmission Planning Process, Phase 2.
- To provide an opportunity for baseline education about approaches, considerations and trade-offs from diverse points of view.
- To provide a venue for this discussion that is open to ISO-NE’s Planning Advisory Committee (PAC), and to import the information exchange into the PAC process when it can accommodate continued focus on this matter.
